Chartership – Royal Haskoning Training Schemes
We congratulate our newly Chartered Civil Engineers featured above - all candidates on our structured dedicated in-house ICE training scheme.
The scheme is run and operated by a number of Supervising Civil Engineers, who are located in many of our UK offices. Each supervising engineer arranges for a delegate engineer to act as a mentor to those graduate engineers and technicians who wish to join this particular professional body.
All trainees undergoing one of our professional development schemes are assigned a mentor. The mentors meet with trainees on a regular basis to provide technical advice and support on achieving their professional competencies. The mentor’s main objective is to help the trainee achieve Chartered status by facilitating development opportunities through knowledge sharing, on the job learning, job secondments & project opportunities.
Royal Haskoning supports many professional training schemes and we take an active role in promoting Graduate Engineers, Scientists, Environmentalists and Technicians.
The professional schemes we offer relate mainly to the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM) and the Institute of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) . However, our full support is available to you, whatever your background or field of interest.
Embarking on one of our training schemes can lead to Chartered Engineer, Scientist or Environmentalists or Incorporated Engineer status, all titles recognised by The Engineering Council.

Undergraduate Sponsorship Scheme
We're keen to find and support the best talent currently studying at university, and offer a highly sought after undergraduate sponsorship scheme. From your second year onwards, you can apply to become a member of our undergraduate sponsorship scheme.Starting with paid work experience through the summer, you'll also receive cash support during term time, which will increase as you progress towards graduation.
Student Placements
In addition to our sponsorship scheme, we invite a limited number of students to experience how Royal Haskoning operates to help you gain valuable skills and experience along the way.
There's no formal student placement scheme in place, but we bring students on board when we know we have specific work experience opportunities to offer.
